Pita Sharples accuses Winston Peters of playing race card

The New Zealand Herald says:New Zealand First leader Winston Peters is playing “the race card” with comments accusing the Maori Party of fostering political separatism, Maori Party co-leader Pita Sharples says.

 Winston Peters says:The Maori Party is a political party based solely on race, that’s apartheid man. J’Accuse! Ya’ll are humming the “hymn of hate.”

Pita Sharples says: What’s wrong with stance on the terror raids that purely call for fair treatment of our people?

Other non-Maori activists arrested in the raids say: *Ahem.*

Maori Affairs Minister Parekura Horomia says: Lemme just quietly slip away from this one before attention turns back on me again for supposedly turning my back on my people.

Guest Commentator and Former All Black Captain Sean Fitzpatrick says: It’s a game of two racial perspective halves, full credit to them, they’ve turned up ready to play and I’m sure by the next election will come away with a result. At the end of the day, the media was the winner.
